The patient was referred to an ophthalmologist. She is on anti-retrovirals.
V/A  R – 0,75 L – hand movements

Diagnosis

Cytomegalovirus retinitis – can lead to blindness. It occurs predominantly in patients whose immune system has been compromised, commonly infected by AIDS

This is a flare-up of CMV due to an immune response

Management

She will require intra-vitreal ganciclovir and antiviral treatment
