The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) invites you to its 1st National Conference2019 to be held at Emperors Palace from 18-20th August 2019.
The conference will provide an opportunity for delegates across all health sectors, health regulators, policy makers, academics and service providers amongst others; to engage on regulatory matters pertaining to the healthcare environment; including the shifting global and local healthcare trends.
The theme for the event will be “Regulating the Health Professionals in the 21st Century” with a focus on The Role of the Regulator in Universal Health Coverage as well as looking at the Regulators contribution towards Advocating for good Health and Well-being – Why it matters? What is our role in achieving these goals?
The compelling programme has various interactive sessions focused on core issues specifically the emerging gaps in the current regulatory framework in relation to universal health coverage and the impact of the current ethical rules in the delivery of universal health coverage to ensure a sustainable health care system.
Another key feature in the programme are the concurrent issue-based breakaway sessions where delegates will explore various perspectives on the workforce environment, the required skills and capabilities, the role of education and training systems in preparing the health practitioners of tomorrow, Ethical Engagement in the Digital Era and digital Innovation and the Wave of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
We will also be engaging on the Outcomes of the Health Market Inquiry and the Presidential Health Summit 2018 as well as creating awareness with our stakeholders on our mandate.
We encourage you not to miss this opportunity to engage delegates across all health sectors as we gather to affirm our commitment to best practices in health regulation and, of course, to form and renew our network of colleagues and peers in the regulatory field.
