Flow Communications has been appointed as the full-service communications agency for the Government Employees Medical Scheme (GEMS). Flow, one of South Africa’s largest independent integrated communications agencies, was appointed after a competitive bidding process that was completed this month. GEMS is the country’s second largest medical scheme.
“We are excited to work with GEMS,” said Flow CEO, Tara Turkington. “Flow has done remarkable communications work with clients in the healthcare sector and we hope to build on this strong track record with the work we do with GEMS.”
Flow has won the prestigious gold PRISM award in the healthcare category for two years running in 2018 and 2019.
Chief Operations Officer, Dr Stan Moloabi at GEMS, said: “GEMS helps nearly two million South Africans access affordable quality healthcare services. We hope that having a creative, reliable communications partner like Flow will help enhance the critical work that we do.
