Life Healthcare tackles biggest disability in the country

Life Healthcare funds R13 million for eye care and up-skilling of blind and partially sighted persons in partnership with SA National Council for the Blind

An official cheque and mobile eye clinic handover and acknowledgement of Life Healthcare’s partnership with SANCB took place in Pretoria on Tuesday, 7 August 2018. The event included a tour of Optima College to give insight into the training offered to students. The third Mobile Eye Clinic funded by the Life Foundation will also be operational and screening some 300 patients from outer lying areas. Patients requiring spectacles will receive these on the day and those requiring further treatment such as cataract surgery will be referred as appropriate.
